SkyMap Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026
The short version: SkyMap has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Your location is used only on your device, only while you use the app, and is never stored or sent anywhere.

Location

SkyMap asks for location permission ("while using the app") to show where you are on the skyway map and follow your progress along a route. Your coordinates are processed entirely in memory on your device. They are never saved, never transmitted to us (we have no server that could receive them), and never shared with anyone. Declining location access disables only those features — everything else works normally.

What the app stores on your device

All of this stays in your device's local storage. Deleting the app (or clearing website data, for the web version) removes it completely.

Network requests the app makes

That is the complete list. There are no analytics services, ad networks, or third-party trackers of any kind.

Feedback

The Feedback and Report buttons open a form inside the app. When you tap Send, what you typed is sent to our feedback endpoint and emailed to the developer. That message contains:

Your IP address is briefly held in memory to rate-limit abuse of the form; it is not stored or logged with your message. Messages are delivered by Resend, an email service, and land in a personal inbox. They are not used for anything other than answering and fixing what you reported, and they are never sold or shared.

Nothing is sent unless you tap Send. If the form can't reach us, it falls back to opening your own email app with a draft — in that case the message goes through your email provider, not through us.

Changes

If SkyMap ever adds a feature that changes any of the above, this policy will be updated first and the "last updated" date bumped.
